Regional Account Manager– California Bay Area



Description:

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for growing revenue for each of our supplier partners within a defined geography. This position requires a high frequency of customer, supplier, and manufacturer rep contact with the goal of understanding the customer’s business model, defining customer’s needs, and developing a strategy that results in achieving stated sales objectives. The ideal candidate would have significant industry knowledge and well established customer, supplier, and manufacturer representative relationships in their defined territory. .

Responsibilities: Developing Territory Strategy



Build:

  • Understand and build intimate insight and knowledge of the market and customers within the territory.
  • Identify and select key strategic customers consistent with territory growth strategy.
  • Align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop territory revenue.
  • Qualifying new prospects and developing new business to increase customer base and sales/profits.
  • Build and maintain a sales opportunity pipeline that is both deep (opportunities of all sizes) and wide (opportunities closing today, in 60 days, 12 months.)



Manage:

  • Prepare and review annual business plans on all customers on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain our database of contacts: Technical, Operations, Procurement, Executive; key decision makers.
  • Develop an Action Plan in support of the assigned sales and profit targets for the assigned territory.
  • Maintain reports regarding activities and results such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, annual territory analysis, etc



Grow:

  • Continuously seek new customers to grow and develop territory.
  • Follow-up each call, conference, or meeting with proposed actions designed to either advance or conclude that sales opportunity
  • Advance opportunities through the pipeline by managing customers' expectations and helping them buy/ desire Phoenics products.

Execution – Delivering Results:

  • Deliver a significant increase in the following areas as defined by management :
  • Significant increase in revenue
  • Number of quality customers
  • Increase in territory sales of product portfolio
  • Execute and deliver territory sales plan
  • Work collaboratively with sales and applications team members to execute objectives.



Experience & Education:

  • Multiple years of experience selling semiconductor/board level solutions and account management expertise.
  • Experience selling into numerous vertical market segments
  • Strong experience building a pipeline, qualifying, and identifying deals you can close.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue goals
  • Demonstrated strength in building and managing relationships along with presenting to a diverse audience from business champion, technical teams, to lower level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle from prospect, demo, and contract negotiation through close of initial deals and renewals.
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally
  • Strong computer skills, including Sales Management systems, online tools (WebEx), MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • BSEE Preferred
  • Travel required within defined territory (exact % TBD)

  • Strong project management and, specifically, deadline management skills
