Phoenics Electronics Kitting Services division offers its clients the opportunity to outsource their electronic component purchasing and logistics functions to achieve significant cost and efficiency benefits within their production departments. Further, outsourcing the Kitting function allows small to mid-sized companies flexibility when working with Contract Manufacturers. If clients are not satisfied with their current Contract Manufacturer, it is a much simpler process to disengage the relationship when they are not reliant upon their purchasing group for the logistical business service.
Our aim is develop a custom component kitting solution to a client's specific requirements by using a combination of our available services. These services are packaged to derive the maximum benefit in a client’s production/purchasing environment.

Phoenics’ component Kitting Service specializes in managing and preparing production ready kits of components to be supplied to a client on a JIT basis.
A client's approved Bill of Materials, which may include the PCB, passive and active semiconductors, LEDs, power supplies, mechanical devices and others, are loaded into our custom kitting process program. Using batch build information from a clients forecast we prepare production ready kits, packaged for a production. Each individual component can be labeled with Batch references, internal part numbers, board references and bar-coded if required.
Kit batches may be delivered weekly or monthly to an agreed forecast window. Pre-packed buffer kits can be held in stock to cater for sudden increases in demand.
Many clients who are considering using a kitting service are concerned about their own internal component stock levels. Phoenics can accommodate this by ensuring that this stock is consumed as quickly as possible within the kit process.
At the end of the build process, Phoenics will also recoup the unused devices from the CM and inventory them. A summary of devices will then be submitted to the client for review.
